Hey guys,

It's Friday once again. Yay! But it's also the last working day before the new semester starts and I have to start teaching next Monday. Blergh! Not really looking forward to that after two months break, as I'm sure my students are feeling the same way. LOL! Oh well, enough chatter for now and let's move on to today's new release.

If you have been following my blog, you might have gotten your hands on these templates since they were previously available as freebies here. My goodness, my last post (and release) was back in March. So many things had happened since then. I was tied up with study-related stuff (had a final exam in April, which I aced, Alhamdulillah) and in May I was tied up with work-related stuff. And at the end of May, my family and I went for a trip to Hong Kong, where a visit to Disneyland was the highlight of the trip. Well, at least for me. LOL!

So anyway, let's get to the new release this week. After two months of nothing from me, I thought that a little treat was in order, so I decided to release a grab bag, called "I'm Back!" Grab Bag. New Release: Movie-spirations Take Two

Hello and happy Friday everyone!!

I have a new template pack in the store today but first of all, let me introduce you to my new Creative Team members who are joining the remaining members on my team. I also wanted to take the chance to say thank you to those who had taken their time to apply to be on my team. I am seriously humbled by the sheer amount of those who applied and wished that I could take in all of you, but alas I only had space for 9 girls. And without further ado, here they are:

Putting that aside, let's move on to my newest template pack. If you remember, I once did a movie-inspired template pack called Movie-spiration. I love that template pack so much and decided to do another one, called Movie-spiration: Take Two and it is just as awesome as the first one. Well, if I do say so myself. LOL!! For this week, I have a brand new template in the store, called "Completely Clustered 2". For this week only, you can get it for only $2.00! First of all, Happy Halloween to those who are celebrating! I don't celebrate Halloween but have always thought that it's a good excuse to eat lots and lots of candies. LOL! Anyway, for FOBTY this week, we're supposed to blog about our favourite type of candy. For me, I love something chocolatey and can never say no to Cadbury's Black Forest chocolate bar. I also love something sour called Sour Tapes, which is sour but kinda sugary. Not a lot of people like that kind of candy but I looooooove it. :D

For this week's FOBTY, we're supposed to blog about which season is our favorite and why. Well, where I am from, which is Malaysia in South East Asia, we don't have four seasons. It's always hot all year round and towards the end of the year, there are torrential rain sometimes. There are times when I wish we have four seasons, but I think I love the country just the way it is. Except when it gets too hot, I wish for it to be a bit colder. Anyway, since we don't have four seasons, if I were to be given a chance to experience a season, I would definitely love to experience Autumn. I don't know why but I guess there's just something about the color of the season that I like.

For FOBTY this week, we were asked about what kind of exercises we're doing or planning to do. Well, knowing me, there's not much exercising that was being done but I thought I would change things up and start to exercise more. I was thinking of doing some basic stuff, like push ups, crunches, you know, stuff that you can do in 5 to 10 minutes. I guess that's better than not doing anything at all and just sit on your butt, right?

Hey there,

For the FOBTY at SSD this week, we were told to blog about songs that we're currently listening to. As for me, it's currently songs from the Spectacular! soundtrack. I know it's cheesy but I love songs like that, especially Don't Tell Me, a song sung by the lead male character in the movie. I'm also currently listening to Kate Voegele's sophomore album, A Fine Mess and my favourite song from the album is 'Sweet Silver Lining'.

Anyway, just because I have the time, I would love to share some layouts that I had worked on for the past week. It has been a while, don't you think? *images are all linked!*

So anyway, for this blog train, we thought that it would be a good idea to share our favourite picnic/barbecue/summer party memory to go along with the theme of the kit that we used, which, by the way, you can pick up for free with a purchase of $15 in the store this weekend!

I don't have much picnic/barbeque memory cos I rarely had those (pathetic, I know!) but there was this one time when we had barbecue at our house, my older brother was barbequing and people kept on taking food from the barbeque place (what is that called, by the way? LOL!), so he always ended up with nothing and finally he gave up. I really thought that was funny. :D Anyway, my BFFs and I will be having a barbecue of our own in a few days, so I hope it would be a good memory to cherish. :)

For FOBTY this week, we're supposed to post a photo of where we had been to for the past month, so here's my photo. It's of me and my sister when we were at a beach in Cherating. We went there during the last weekend of the month and spent the whole weekend just relaxing and having fun. It was really, really nice!!

Wow! I never knew that there's a National Cheesecake Day. Seriously, all the days that people came up with. But that gives us a reason to celebrate, right? LOL! So anyway, I totally love cheesecake. It's definitely up there at the top of the list of my favourite cake, just second to chocolate cakes. There are of course many, many types of cheesecakes out there but my favourite would be the plain one. Seriously. There's really nothing better than plain ol' cheesecake for me.

Oh, this is so true. Whenever I meet someone with a so-called 'unique' name, the first thing that would come to mind was 'WTH??'. LOL!! And I hated it when some really usual name is spelled in an unusual way, like how people tend to do it nowadays. As a teacher, it's very hard for me to grasp on how to spell the name.

We had hot spells a few weeks back and suddenly it's raining all the time nowadays. This unpredictable weather makes it easy for us to get sick. I definitely had my turn last week! It wasn't good at all but I'm thankful that I'm now better than ever... :)

This is a scheduled post as I am currently away for the weekend for a girls' weekend in Melaka, one of the states in Malaysia. Here's to hoping for a great weekend! :)

Anyway, I totally forgot to blog about this last weekend but this is the perfect time to do it! Anyway, some SM designers got together and create a grab bag of some sort called Mystery Mix. I'm in Team 3, along with Wendy (WM[Squared] Designs), Jill (Juno Designs) and also Brianne (Hafen Creations), and together, we created 8 (yes, that's EIGHT!!) products to be included in the bag. For the FOBTY this week, we're supposed to tell about some of the memories that you don’t want to forget about May 2009. For me, it's definitely the fact that I got through my first ever postgraduate exam. It was tough but I'm glad I made it. Just hoping that my results will be satisfactory. I don't have high hopes for straight As, but we'll see.. Just hoping for the best right now, whatever it may be.

Another event in may was of course the day my beloved nephew turned 2. We celebrated his birthday a day earlier but he ended up being sick that day so he was extremely cranky and clingy. The best thing was that when the cake was brought out, he was immediately in a happy, party mood...

Whew!! I had such a busy day today which resulted in me taking a break from the computer for the whole day. That's totally unheard of! LOL!! Anyway, I was glad for the break. Seriously, my eyes were getting a bit bleary from staring too much at the screen.

Hey guys,

It's 1.20 am here and I am typing this post right now or otherwise I would forget tomorrow! Anyway, I am now officially done with my first semester of postgraduate study in UM. Yay!! Only God knows how relieved I am. I'll be anxiously waiting for the results to come out but for now, I'll just enjoy my free time. I only have a week left of work-related stuff to do, then I'm thinking of taking a week off from work. Can't wait!

We went to the mall and Toys R Us just now and bought presents for my nephew's birthday party tomorrow. His birthday is not until the 10th but we're celebrating it a bit early. Hope he'll love what we bought for him. And oh, among other things, we bought this too!

Yes, it's a bubble machine! And no, it's not for our niece or nephew. It's for their young-at-heart uncle and aunties. LOL!! It's totally awesome!!

FOBTY 4/23 (and NSD stuff too!)

Hey guys,

I'm back for another quickie. LOL!! For this week's FOBTY at SSD, the prompt is about what we do to that is eco-friendly. Well, to tell you the truth, I never considered what I did was eco-friendly until recently. My mom is big on getting her washing done in big loads and never small loads so sometimes it would pile up high before she does the laundry. We recycle, of course and re-use a lot of stuff that can be re-used. I know it's not much but hopefully I'll be able to do more later.

Now that's out of the way, let's talk about iNSD happening this weekend. The peeps at ScrapMatters are already planning a helluva lots of stuff. I can't wait!! I'll be working on Saturday morning (equivalent to Friday evening in US) but hopefully I won't miss out on much of the festivities. Anyway, check out the ad below!

What is the one thing, even on a tight budget that you haven’t been able to give up?

For me, besides from digital scrapbooking supplies, one thing that I wouldn't be able to give up would be buying drinks from Starbucks. It was kinda funny cos I used to scold my brother for buying drinks from there because of the ridiculous price but now I'm hooked. I still remember when I first got a taste of Starbucks. It was in August 08 (if I'm not mistaken) when I first met some digiscrappers. Emilie (AmyPunky) came all the way from France so we decided to meet up, together with Zakirah, Novita and Jessy. They decided to meet at Starbucks KLCC and the night before that, I kept on asking my brother what drink should I order. He suggested something but I couldn't remember what so on the day we met, I decided to order on a whim instead. If you must know, I'm not a coffee lover. I don't drink coffee so I try to steer clear from those caffeinated drinks. So I ordered Chocolate Cream Chip Ice Blended. And it was love at FIRST SLURP! I haven't been able to resist myself from buying those ever since then. :)

Hey guys,

Phew! I finally got a moment to post this here. Been busy with classes and catching up with stuff. Last night, we celebrated my brother's birthday (which fell on the 18th, by the way) and then today we get to spend some time with my brother and his family, which means it's spoil-the-niece day. LOL!! We wanted to go to the hot air balloon festival in Putrajaya but couldn't find the place so we ended up in Shah Alam where we scouted for some party stuff for our nephew's 2nd birthday in May.

Well, enough rambling for now and let's move on the new releases this week.

For this week's FOBTY's, we were asked about favourite Girls Scout cookies. We do have Girls Scout here in Malaysia but they don't sell cookies. Or if they do, they have never come to our house. LOL! So anyway, my favourite cookie would be chocolate chip cookies. In our home, it's a treat to have chocolate chip cookies cos we rarely do it, eventhough it's super easy to make. Usually we did it during Eid. I remembered one time when us all (me, my siblings, my cousins and my uncle) were gathered together, chatting and laughing together, we managed to finish a whole tin of it at one go. It was kinda funny when I think about it again.. :)

Anyway, I haven't shared some of my own pages here for a long time and here are some...

And oh, just in case you didn't know, I'm having an internet problem right now. Something to do with someone stealing the phone cables. Or something like that. It's stupid cos it had been like that since last week and we expected it to be fixed by the 9th but it's still not fixed. So right now, I'm using the internet in nearby McDonald's. Hey guys,

First of all, I would like to take a deep breath. It had been a hell of a weekend so far. Ever since I started the postgraduate courses, my weekend is always busy. Let me tell you, Saturday is NOT my favourite day at all, mostly because of the class I have to take, which is Statistics for Research in Education. I am not a Maths person at all, so to have to deal with numbers was just yikes!! Anyway, enough rambling, let's just get straight to the order of business for today.

In store today, I have a new template set, called Gimme Some Space Set 2! One of my CT members requested for it, so I quickly whipped it up. Or maybe not so quickly cos the it took me two weeks to came up with this set, but not for the lack of ideas, more to the lack of time. LOL!

Here's the template set! As usual, it's only $1.00 for the whole week, until 2/27...

Hey guys,

So, I just got back from my Friday classes, and I am so tired as hell but I remembered that I haven't done my new release post yet, so here I am. I have to do it today, so that you could take advantage of the discount, which is only for today! So I'll just keep this short, alright? Heather was the one who came up with the swatch and the nature-themed kit. While I was working on it, I somehow came up with elements that are more to basking in the sun, having fun in the nature kinda theme (e.g. the kites, rainbow, etc), so we just decided to combine the two themes so that it's broader.. :)

For the 2/5 SSD FOBTY, we were asked to blog about birthdays. Birthdays is definitely one of the moments that I would be waiting for, be it mine or others. Why? Because these are the times when we would be able to indulge in good food and even better company of family members. It's totally fun!! Needless to say, each birthday memories had been stuck in my mind. But I think, the most memorable one would be when my family and I went out for dinner to celebrate my SIL's birthday last year. After we had our dinner, we went back to the car to go home but found out that one of the tires had punctured, leaving us stranded for about an hour. Thankfully we have each other as company so the girls just hang out while the boys worked their butts off to fix the tire. It was so damn funny!

First up is Mix and Match Set 2, which is basically a set of templates that has a little bit of this and that. For the FOBTY this week, the prompt is about cupcakes. What's our favourite kind? Well, mine would be moist chocolate, with buttercream. The more moist the better... Yummy! *sighs* Now I'm craving for some. I don't know how to make them so we usually buy them. Well, not exactly usually but in the rare occasion that we need cupcakes, we would order them. Sometimes we don't need special occasion. My sister would order them, just because. LOL!

This is just gonna be a quick post cos I'm still feeling feverish. I started feeling not well at all during my second class last night and on the way home, I started feeling headache-y. Ugh! I rarely get sick, just a bit of flu here and there, so to have a fever really sucks. I had to miss my morning class today and I really felt bad cos it's Statistics and I'm really bad at that and needed all the help I can get. Oh well, me being there with a pounding headache and sneezing is not gonna help either, so whatever...

The template is designed with Project 365 in mind but you can of course use them for any other multi-photo layouts. As for the kit, as I told you guys in the post below (with the sneak peek), it was supposed to be a somewhat companion kit for It's A Girl's World. When I released the girl kit, I was already nearly done with the boy kit when my EHD kinda crashed and I lost all the things in the folder that I stored the kit in. But it's resurrected now, using the same colors, different patterns and elements... better than ever, if I do say so myself. LOL!! Oh well, just look at the awesome LOs my CT cranked out will ya? They are the greatest!!

Sneak Peek ... Coming Friday!!

I just thought it would be fun to give you guys a sneak peek of what will be released on Friday. I have a kit and a template pack. :)

I'm really excited about the kit cos I had been holding on to it for so long. It was supposed to be a companion kit to It's A Girl's World but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to hold it back. But now it's ready to be released. I will also have an add-on to it (as usual) so do check back for that, alright?

As for the template, let's just say it MIGHT make scrapping your Project 365 photos easier.. :D

Alright, I'm out! I'm at work now so I would have to do some actual work, or else this would be called scrapping hours, or designing hours instead of working hours. LOL!

New Release: Stripped Set 4 (and a few other things)

Happy New Year, everyone!! Hope you had fun ringing in the new year. I was stuck in bed, scrapping until it was close to midnight and believe me when I say that is where I wanna be. LOL!

So, I was just lounging around the house today, watching movies, thinking about the start of my postgraduate classes tomorrow when suddenly I thought that I should come up with a new template pack for this week's release. So here you go, Stripped Set 4. I turned some of my recent layouts into these and love it oh so much!! You can get it now for only $1 during the weekend, either at ScrapMatters or Sunshine Studio Scraps.

Anyway, I've jumped into the Project 365 bandwagon too and I have set up a separate blog for that. I've tried doing Photo-A-Day (or its variation) before but got stopped after a couple of weeks but for this year, I'm determined to do it. I need to brush up on my photography skills and what better way to do it than this, right? Let's just hope that I'll stick to it this time.

Well, I guess that's part of my New Year's so-called resolution anyway. Other than that, I would love to lose my excess weight. I've gotten so chubby it's not even funny. I'm starting today and it's getting good. I've been drinking lots of water too. Another thing that I would love to achieve is to scrap more. I remembered last year I made a goal to scrap at least 100 layouts before year end, and I managed to achieve that goal before April. So I changed my goal to 250 and managed to achieve that in July. By December 31st, I had scrapped 365 layouts. So for 2009, I would like to have a goal of scrapping 365 layouts again and maybe more..

Before I go, here's a look back at my layouts of 2008. I picked my favourites from each month. Earlier in the year, it was so easy to pick because my layouts were just simple and really bland, but towards the end, there were soooo many beautiful layouts (well, at least they ARE beautiful to me!!) to choose from. I'm glad I did this cos I can see how much I had grown scrapping wise. My layouts might not be in gallery standouts every other day, but I'm happy with them. :)

New Release: Learning Curve & Vellum Strips!

Gosh, I had been soooo busy, it's not even funny. There were tons of papers to mark and not to mention that I was busy preparing myself to be a postgraduate student. Yes, I registered for Master's classes on the 20th and will be starting classes in the first week of January. That's gonna keep me busy for a while. Kinda scared at the thought of going back to school but at the same time, I'm excited for this new chapter of my life.

So anyway, without further ado, here are my new releases this week. First up is the Learning Curve, a kit with a burst of primary colors amidst all the winter ones. It's a bit learning-centric but still perfect for other pages as well. Anyway, a few weeks ago, my niece came over and proudly showed off her new kindergarten uniform, hence this kit. I can't believe my niece is big enough to start going to kindy! It seems like it was only yesterday that she was born, and then toddling around, babbling, etc, etc.. Time flies too fast!! (In Malaysia, new school year starts in January)

So anyway, how was your Thanksgiving? Hope it was a good one. I don't celebrate Thanksgiving but there's no reason why I can't count my blessings, right? So anyway, let's talk about Christmas tradition. I don't celebrate Christmas, but I do love Christmas season. There's just something really magical about it. Well, maybe not so in Malaysia, but I would have loved to experience Christmastime somewhere abroad, where I can experience snow and all those things that I know relates to Christmas. So anyway, what I love about Christmas (eventhough I don't celebrate) is the Christmas movies. I love, love, love Christmas movies, eventhough some of them can be cheesy. But it's all in the name of fun. What I love the most about Christmas movies is that they are usually about families and something about believing. I had just finished watching a tv movie called Christmas Do-Over, where this guy had to live through Christmas Day over and over until he finally fixed his mistakes and gets it right. There's certainly a lesson to be learnt from that movie!

It's Black Friday, baby!

Well, we don't have Black Friday over here in Malaysia, but who cares! I'm celebrating anyway. LOL! Can't wait to hit all the sales. I'm not gonna spend much cos I still have some kits left from DSD that I haven't scrapped with yet, but I am gonna be hunting for some bargain.

Speaking of bargain, don't forget to visit ScrapMatters! DSD at SM was kinda quiet but we're going with a bang for Black Friday. My last full kit (It's A Girl's World) took me about a month to make (yes, it's true!!) so to have this done in under a week with only 30% CU assistance is a miracle in itself. So I Got Mission #3 Done...

... after about 8 hours of fretting while designing, thinking that I'm not gonna be able to do this. Sheesh! What happens to self-confidence, Sya???? Anyway, I've posted it and now just waiting to see whether I would make it to the final round. Hopefully I would but if I don't, it's still gonna be okay cos I've definitely learnt a lot during this journey. (Oh, what a cliche, but so true though!!)

Here's my submission. I went with the whole suitable for both gender theme cos I couldn't decide whether I want the kit to be girlish or boyish. So I have the stars for the boys and the flowers for the girls and stripes and circles to balance it out. Awesome, huh? (Well, if I do say so myself, LOL!!)

I Accomplished Mission #2!

Well, I actually finished last Sunday (Malaysian time) cos I needed a break from all the shopping that I did during DSD. Did you guys break your Paypal account? I certainly did. Bought sooooo many stuff!! LOL!

So anyway, here's the mini kit that I came up with for the 2nd mission of Project Sunshine. Hope you guys enjoy this one cos I sure did have fun coming up with this one. I especially love the tree, the burlap pieces and the alpha.. And oh, we have to extract two of the elements ourselves and that was kinda hard cos I don't REALLY like extraction, but it was a good learning experience for me. Let's just say that it wasn't REALLY perfect, but it's kinda fine by me.. :)

Hey guys,

There's a design contest over at Sunshine Studio Scraps and I'm part of it. We got our mission last Friday, which is to design a mini kit based on two swatches available. I worked on mine last night after I posted the add-on to It's A Girl's World (available below) and didn't get into bed until around 4.30am. Call me crazy but when the mojo decided to work during that time, who am I to say no? Hehehe.. Overall, I'm happy with what I did.. :)

I was feeling melancholic cos I missed my best friend, hence the theme of the kit. When I was working on it, I started thinking of the times that we went through together, the sweet and happy ones especially, so I decided to inject a little bit of happiness in the kit, hence the hearts. I think it's awesome, if I do say so myself. Hehehe.. I'm definitely proud of it, to say the least.. :)

Hey guys, I'm so excited to share this with you: my brand new kit. It's called It's A Girl's World and just like the name suggested, it's totally girly. It's bright and fun and will suit your girly layouts. I'm totally proud of this one cos it took a long time for me to finish (like a month, LOL!!) but when I was done with it, I was able to sit back and pat myself on the back. So anyway, I know I said I have an add-on to this kit for you guys, but I'm really sorry cos somehow there was something wrong with one of the folders in my EHD and all the stuff in there got lost, including the add-on to this kit and also a brand new kit that I was working on and ready to wrap up. I mean, it just needs an alpha and it's ready to be released and all that. Needless to say, I was so bummed, but there's really nothing that I can do except for starting from scratch. I will try and do something for you guys but I can't really promise cos I'm kinda tied up at the moment. My family will be having a party of some sort in conjunction of Eid. It's called open house over here, a Malaysian concept whereby people celebrating various holidays will invite friends to drop by for festive snacks and fellowship. So I'll be pretty busy tomorrow with lots of stuff to do, but I'll try and see what I can do, right?

It's nearly 2am right now, but almost nobody is asleep yet over here (not even my 4 year old niece!!), so I'm gonna go out to the kitchen and see if there's anything I can do to help. Toodles and have a fun day ahead guys!
