It's Malaysia's Independence Day!!!

It's finally 31st August and this year marks 51 years of independence for Malaysia! Woohoo!! I am proud to call myself a Malaysian citizen and there is no other place that I wanna call home. Anyway, as part of the celebration, Zakirah and her CT members (that includes me, of course!) got together for a blog party. She's releasing a new kit, Merdeka, using Red, Blue, Yellow & White, the colors from our very own flag. Here's a preview of the kit..

And here's a card I made with it! And oh yeah, just in case you're wondering, hibiscus is our national flower.. And Merdeka basically means Independence in Malay language.

Do you want the kit for free before it goes in the store for full price? If so, download it here!! Don't miss the chance to grab this kit. It won't be available as a freebie for long.

The next blog you should go to is Fliffy's! Have fun and enjoy!

FOBTY 8/28 - Spelling Test!

Your Common Spelling Mistake Score: 90% Correct

Your spelling is excellent.

You don't fall for common spelling pitfalls, and you spell almost everything correctly.

Do You Make Common Spelling Mistakes?

LOL!! You know what? I seriously thought I had scored 100% on this one. *sighs* Such a fun little quiz.. :)

Layouts using my new products!

When I posted the last post, my CT didn't have the time to do theirs yet cos I got it to them so late.

Here are two from Kim, my newest team member. She's awesome, just like the rest of my team!! She used the new kit Perfectly Her, Stitched Up Alpha and a template from Stripped Set 2.

Here's another one by Kim, also using Perfectly Her and Stitched Up Alpha. She also used Completely Curved on this one.

Here's one by Judy, using the September paper pack, Stitched Up Alpha and a template by me available in the Friday Flea Market colab kit. It looks soooo awesome!!

And last but certainly not least, here's one by Tater, using the September paper pack, Stitched Up Alpha and a template from Somewhat Centered.

*sighs* It's still surreal to see my work in action. It's very different from templates. While I had this certain high when I saw my templates in action, it's a very different kind of high when it's my own kit, my own papers, my own alpha. Gosh, still unbelievable. LOL!!

Anyway, I'm off to pack. Will be going away for a short getaway with the family. Will be back tomorrow. Don't forget to go and check out the sale at my store!!

New Release: 3 Brand New Products & 51% Off!!

Another week had gone by!! I told myself that I would take it easy this week, but it's not happening. I was having too much fun designing. It all started with an alpha, then a paper pack, then suddenly it bloomed into a full kit. Oh yes, a kit, people!! I can't believe it when I saw the final product! I know it's not the most perfect kit EVER, but it's okay cos I'm still in the learning stage. Lots of things to learn still but in the past week, I had learnt lots more about PS than I have ever had.

Before I post about the new products, here's something that I wanna tell you!

Yes, all products in my store are 51% off in conjunction of my country Malaysia's 51st Independence Day and my birthday month, September. I won't turn 23 until the 20th, but I just thought that it would make a great double celebration. Go and check out the store now and grab whatever that caught you fancy cos this sale will be on only until 9/2!!

So anyway, here are the three brand new products I have up in my store right now! *images are linked!*

This kit was inspired by my niece, Syara, who is sometimes girly and sometimes not-so-girly, hence the blue colors in the kit. I actually wanted to make it look sweet AND spunky, but only managed to make it sweet with just a hint of spunk. But oh well, it's still perfectly her anyway. Here's an LO I made with it, using a template from my Completely Cornered set and also the new Stitched Up Alpha (see below!).

And here's a paper pack totally inspired by the brown tones of September. You can never go wrong with browns and with classic patterns such as polka dots and stripes, this will be the paper pack you go back to again and again.

And here's a pack of alpha made of paper with stitching details. I love this one, totally had fun working on this and definitely learnt something new. LOL!!

Here's a LO by Stefanie using both the September paper pack & Stitched Up Alpha. (She also used a template from The Chosen One Set 2)

That's it from me. It's already past 1am over here in Malaysia and I gotta go to sleep!! Come back again tomorrow for a blog party though.. :)

A Colab with Matahati Designs!!

A colab, you ask? How does one do a colab with a designer who primarily does templates?

With quickpages of course! Told ya I'm hooked with quickpages! :D

Anyway, just before the SM store opens, I approached Z and asked whether she wanted to do a colab with me. My template, her kit. She was interested, so I immediately get to work and here's the outcome..

Go and check it out now!! (Image is linked) As you can see, there are 4 yummy QPs in this pack. Simply slide your photos, add some journaling, date your page, and you're good to go! You can print your pages or simply keep them in digital formats.

And oh, while you're still at it, don't forget to check out my grab bag, still available for sale! I'm still in a state of disbelief that people were buying it. If you still haven't grabbed it, go and grab it. It will only be available for a short while..

I'll be going away later this afternoon and I'll see you when I get back. I already have something up my sleeves and let me tell you, it's gonna be a great GIFT. See ya!

FOBTY 7/31 - A Layout That Makes Me Happy

[Credits Here]

I did this LO during a speed scrap at Sunshine Studio Scraps, during the Sunshine Wonder Week. Had to start over towards the end cos I didn't like the way my LO turned out and I love this one sooooo much better. Anyway, why does seeing LO makes me happy? Easy. Because it reminded me of all the time I spent with these two girls I called my friends, back in the early days of our university life. These photos were taken when we went for a stress-reliever after our Phonology exam, in our third semester of Foundation year. I nearly didn't go cos I was having little bits of flu left but I was glad that I did go in the end. We just spent the day eating, talking, having fun, goofing around. It was really great. Wish I could go back and live those days all over again...

Party Hat Special! (Freebie Alert!)

I have said this time and time again, but I'm just gonna say this again. I am totally honoured to be creating for some of the best designers in the digi world and one of them just happens to be Nicole Seitler, of Sugarplum Paperie. She is totally awesome!! I was actually just a guest on her team for a couple of months before she got tired of the guests and made us all permanents. LOL!! Anyway, this week, Nicole celebrated her blog's 1st year anniversary with the release of her FREE kit, Party Hat. Another awesome kit from her, don't you think? Have you downloaded everything? If you haven't, go and check out her blog!!

Today is the finale of the freebie giveaway, and she has let us (her creative team members) to play around with Party Hat and create freebies for you guys. Exciting, huh? So, here's my part: two quickpages made using Party Hat...

For links of other girls' goodies, you can head over to Nicole's blog.

You might be wondering, what's with me and quickpages these days. Shhh.. don't tell anybody, but I think I'm hooked. Thanks to Alice for posting that tutorial on the SPP board, now I found it easier to do QPs. And not to mention my new venture too. I'm thinking of offering quick page services, but we shall see how well things are going to be right now. As for right now, I'm just gonna be doing some quickpages for Kelly (Greedz Graphics) and Danielle Young. I'm loving it so far!

Oh well, enough rambling. Enjoy your downloads. :)

Kelly Made Me Do It!!

LOL!! The title actually refers to the time when Kelly (of Greedz Graphics) first asked me to make a couple of quickpages before she hired me to some quickpages for her. So now I have two quickpages to give away. Yay!! I love this kit and the best thing is that it's available for free at Kelly's shop at Elemental Scraps. Go here if you wanna check out the kit..

DOWNLOAD HERE

Kelly also has a new kit out called Veralyn. It's totally awesome!! I worked with it and made some QUICK-Es, but that one is for sale. I'm soooo excited for this new venture.. :)

Get it at Sunshine Studio, Color Line Designs or Elemental Scraps

Do look out for more freebies from me tomorrow! I'm so excited to be a part of the Sugarplum Paperie's blog train hop in conjunction of her 1st blog's anniversary.. :)
